PUBLISHER ARTICLE PREVIEW

From the original article

The people who know the most about your company are usually the ones who never publish anything.

The engineer who can tell you exactly why customers churn in month three. The support lead who has heard every objection your sales page doesn’t answer. The operator who knows which promise in your pitch deck is hardest to keep. Their knowledge shows up in Slack threads, call notes and hallway conversations. It almost never shows up on your blog, your newsletter or your founder’s LinkedIn.

The knowledge is there. The writing is what’s missing. Knowing something and writing it down were always two different skills, and most experts only had time to build one of them.

AI pulls those two skills apart. That changes who in a company can be its public voice.

Most startup content gets written by whoever can write, not whoever knows. A marketer interviews the expert for twenty minutes, then spends a week turning those notes into something polished and a little vague. The expert reads it, winces at a sentence or two, and approves it because they have real work to do.

The companies that could afford it always had a fix. Executives got ghostwriters and communications teams. Everyone else stayed quiet, and the sharpest thinking in the building stayed locked inside people who couldn’t get it onto a page.

Now the engineer can talk through the churn problem for fifteen minutes and get back a clean draft. They fix what’s wrong, add the example only they would know, and it goes out under their own name.

This is already how people use AI at work.
